Xavi Simons’s future will be decided by the player himself: despite PSG’s interest, a return seems unlikely.

Xavi Simons is reportedly close to rejecting PSG. Despite a buyback clause of €6 million, the player who was loaned to PSV last summer is not expected to return, according to Dutch media outlet VoetbalPrimeur.

Xavi Simons has the final say in his future and has apparently decided to turn down PSG’s offer. Instead, he is likely to extend his contract with PSV, where he is guaranteed a starting position unlike at PSG. It is expected that he will sign a new deal until June 2028.

Xavi Simons’s agent, Darren Dein, confirmed that « PSV would very much like to keep him. We expect the deal to be sorted before the start of the season and probably well before then. »
